Lady Lynn Joyful Home for Children.
Gandharvakottai, Pudukottai Dt.Tamil Nadu, South India.
Introduction:

Now a days child education is the very serious problem, which we are aiming at. As the children are considered as economic value they are not sent to school but find placement in agriculture, cattle grazing and house hold etc. This happens due to poverty and destitution. As a result they are deprived of their basic rights to education and there by losing chances of having better life in future.

So, Integrated Rural Development Centre IRDC started the home for the destitute and orphaned children. we have named it Lady Lynn Joyful Home for children.

The motto of the home is “To make the home of education centre help and give many more destitute children a real living home, which helps them to develop in accordance with their rights to live and grow up to be free, healthy and independent individuals”.
Location:

We have selected 50 orphans and foundlings from gandharvakottai taluk of pudukottai district inTamil Nadu, South India. We constructed the home building in 6000 sqr feet with all kinds of facilities frequent public transport facilities in gandharvakottai just nearer to the taluk office.

The location is hub of education with university and other colleges. It has very good fertile soil and sufficient ground water with quality. It is situated a little away from congested crowd and town pollution.

Programmes :

This Home concentrates in total development of each child including health, nutrition,education and emotional development. Vocational and skill trainings including tailoring, electronics appliances and craft making, agriculture and computer education are given.
Lady Lynn joyful home provides shelter, loving family atmosphere to orphaned or neglected children from the villages of Pudukottai District ,which is drought prone and back ward area in Tamilnadu, South India. The Home accepts children above 7 years for they can manage self support.
Daily life at LLJ home is a full and well balanced routine, teaching both responsibility and discipline. We focus on a well rounded up bringing including nutrition, health care, education and emotional development.
We receive food grains ,vegetables and milk from our model farm, which is run by the community. The home is to respect the value of all children and raise them to honor their culture and become contributing members of INDIAN NATION.
The daily routine table &nutrient food menu of the home are prepared and the Home children follow the same.
At present there are 50 Orphan Children (33 Boys & 17 Girls) in the Home.The children are taught to accept and help each other as brothers and sisters and to be self-reliant and sustain in their daily life.
The children are studying in an English medium School. Supplementary Education is given to them in the morning and evening by the trained Tutors.
Special health care is given to each child by our Doctor and Health -Workers.Periodical health check - up and regular treatment is given for minor and major ailments.Health education is one of the curricular activities.
Our kitchen staff prepare three nutritious meals and supplementary food daily with purified aqua guard water. Care is taken to prepare the food and keep the surroundings hygienically.
Extra curricular activities are included in the weekly routine table such as art and cultural trainings,music,drama,dance and songs.These trainings are conducted by the Professional and trained Masters.Physical education is the compulsory one in our daily routine.
Computer education is given daily in a special way.Skill trainings are provided in order to equip their lives for their better future.
Facilities are provided for our children to use their leisure times meaningfully.Separate arrangements have been made for indoor&out door games, reading books in the library,Yoga,Meditation and Prayer.
Competitions are conducted once in a month in different subjects. Child assessment form is followed to monitor the total development and growth of each child. Long and short term goals are set to each and every child and implemented with special care and love to them , above all to achieve the target in the life by restoring the happy childhood in them.
