Women and child development programme

Under reproductive and, mother and child health the 4,500 households are visited by health workers on regular basis imparting education including child development, family planning and environmental and personal hygiene. This is supported with health care and referrals with special attention to pregnant and lactating mothers. On birth the childrens growth is monitored with nutrition. All mothers and children are registered with government clinic for immunisation.

Early stimulation for children below 3 years and early childhood education for children in age group 3 to 5 years are given in our early learning centres. There are more than 500 children in the early learning centres who are provided nutrition. On completion the children are put in the government run primary school. Supplementary education and coaching are provided to primary and high school children preventing them from dropping out from school. There are 400 children in the supplementary education/coaching class centres at present.

Women are organised in groups, which can function as self-help groups. They are empowered to fight for their basic rights and necessities for living. These groups are involved in savings and income generation programmes.
